Help with Liga Ride

What works, what does not and why, how to pair your equipment, what to do when something will not connect, where the logs are and how to write to us so the reply comes with a solution right away.

Before you write

Four things that solve most support requests

Close other apps

A trainer connects over Bluetooth to one app at a time. Close Zwift, Rouvy, MyWhoosh and the trainer maker's app on your computer, phone and watch.

Restart the equipment and the game

Switch the trainer off and on, and start the game again. On Android, unpair the trainer in the system Bluetooth settings: the game pairs it by itself.

Bluetooth, not ANT+

Liga Ride connects only over Bluetooth Low Energy. Equipment with ANT+ only will not connect; ANT+ is not supported at the moment.

Current version

On a computer the game updates itself at startup, on a phone through the app store. Right now it is 1.1.0. What has changed: What's new.

Equipment compatibility

What works and what does not

There is one rule: if your equipment works with Zwift, Rouvy or MyWhoosh over Bluetooth, it also works in Liga Ride. If its manual tells you to pair it in your phone's Bluetooth settings with a PIN, it uses the manufacturer's own protocol and will not work in any of these apps.

Works
  • Smart trainer with Bluetooth FTMS: telemetry, resistance control, ERG, course gradient, virtual gears 1–24.
  • Tacx and ThinkRider with FE-C control over Bluetooth: from version 1.0.24 resistance works as with FTMS.
  • Power meter or trainer with the Cycling Power profile: riding and results yes, resistance control no.
  • Bluetooth heart rate monitor with the Heart Rate profile: Polar H9 and H10 straps, Garmin HRM with Bluetooth, armbands and watches that broadcast heart rate over Bluetooth.
  • Separate Bluetooth cadence sensor with the CSC profile; a crank power meter also works as the cadence source.
  • Remotes: Zwift Click, Play, Ride, Click v2 and Cycplus BC2, plus a gamepad and the keyboard. The left half of the Click v2 works after unlocking.
  • For running: treadmill with Bluetooth FTMS, NPE RUNN belt sensor, Bluetooth foot pod, watch in Virtual Run mode. Details: Running.
Works with limitations
  • Spin bikes with a power transmitter and manual resistance, for example Schwinn 800IC, IC8 and Bowflex C6: riding yes, ERG and climbs no, power estimated by the bike.
  • Bikes with resistance levels whose iConsole or HMS console broadcasts FTMS: the resistance mode switch, TRYB OPORU, on the sensors screen, CZUJNIKI, turns gradient and gears into a resistance level.
  • Trainer without resistance control: the ride options, OPCJE JAZDY, say “Twój trenażer nie obsługuje ERG”, meaning your trainer does not support ERG, and you hold workout targets yourself.
Does not work
  • ANT+ without Bluetooth: not supported at the moment.
  • Closed ecosystems: NordicTrack and ProForm with iFit, and Peloton. They do not broadcast power over Bluetooth. Workaround: power meter pedals or crank, riding without resistance control.
  • Bikes with an older console that uses its own protocol, for example an iConsole+ with PIN 0000, FitShow or Fit Hi Way. The list of apps in the manual decides: no Zwift and no Kinomap = it will not work.
  • Heart rate straps without Bluetooth, for example a Polar H3 with GymLink.
Not sure? Send the trainer model and the list of apps from its manual to info@ligaride.pl. We will check it before you buy or before your first ride.

Pairing

How to pair your equipment

Computer: the game starts the sensors panel in the background. On the sensors screen, CZUJNIKI, you pair the trainer, and everything else on the PULSOMETR, KADENCJA and PILOT BIEGÓW cards, for heart rate, cadence and the shifting remote. You do not pair anything in the system settings.

Phone and tablet: the same in the app. A phone only shows devices that broadcast FTMS or Cycling Power, so the list is shorter than on a computer.

An FTMS trainer gets the gradient of the course, so it gets harder uphill, and in workouts it holds your target watts in ERG mode. You change gears 1–24 with a remote, the keyboard, a gamepad or the buttons in the HUD. From the sensor list you disconnect the trainer and the heart rate monitor with one tap.

After a dropout the trainer and the remote reconnect by themselves. When the trainer cannot be read, the game tells you what to do.

Common problems

What to do when something does not work

The trainer is connected but shows 0 W, or the game cannot read it: “nie udało się odczytać trenażera”
Usually another app is holding the trainer: close Zwift, Rouvy, MyWhoosh and the trainer maker's app on your computer, phone and watch. A trainer connects over Bluetooth to one app at a time. On Android, unpair the trainer in the system Bluetooth settings, because the game pairs it by itself, without system pairing. Then switch the trainer off and on and search again on the sensors screen, CZUJNIKI.
I am running with a Garmin watch, but my runner stands still
Press START on the watch in Virtual Run mode: without it the watch is connected but sends 0 km/h. The full guide to connecting a watch, a foot pod and a treadmill is on the Running page.
A heart rate monitor such as the Polar Verity Sense connects and drops right away
Put the sensor on and switch it on before connecting: an optical sensor does not measure without skin contact. Disconnect it from your watch and from phone apps such as Polar Flow, Zwift and Strava, because sensors have a limit on simultaneous connections. Remove the pairing in the system settings, switch the sensor off and on, and tap “Szukaj pulsometru” to search for the heart rate monitor. Straps without Bluetooth, such as the Polar H3, will not connect to any app: you need a strap with Bluetooth, such as the Polar H9 or H10.
On a computer, the game says it cannot start the sensors window: “Nie mogę uruchomić okna czujników”
Start the sensors panel manually: Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Liga Ride\Liga Ride.exe, Mac: Liga Ride Panel in Applications. The game picks it up without a restart. If that does not help: check that no other program is using port 7788, look at Protection history in Windows Security and at your antivirus quarantine, and on Windows 11 turn off Smart App Control or install the current installer, because since 1.0.22 all its files are signed. Reinstalling does not erase your settings.
Windows shows a blue SmartScreen warning during installation
Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The installer is signed with a Certum certificate, and its reputation in SmartScreen grows with the number of installs. Download the installer only from ligaride.pl or ride.ligatriathlonu.pl.
Zwift Click v2 does not shift gears
The right half of the Click v2 works right after pairing: “+” shifts up, “B” shifts down. The left half and the full set work after a one-time unlock on a computer, and the instructions are on the Download page. Click, Play and Ride work without unlocking. Without a remote you shift gears with the arrow keys, a gamepad or the buttons in the HUD.
The ride options screen, OPCJE JAZDY, says the trainer does not support ERG: “Twój trenażer nie obsługuje ERG”
The game connected to the trainer as a power meter with the Cycling Power profile, because the trainer does not broadcast the FTMS standard. Riding works, but the resistance does not change on climbs, and in workouts you hold the targets yourself. Tacx and ThinkRider trainers with FE-C control over Bluetooth get resistance control from version 1.0.24: update the game. Bikes with their own console, for example an iConsole with PIN 0000, and closed ecosystems such as iFit and Peloton do not broadcast FTMS.
The distance in the game differs from my bike computer or Garmin
The game calculates the kilometres with physics from your power, weight and the gradient of the course, not from the speed the trainer reports. A bike computer at home only sees the trainer's wheel turning and knows nothing about the course. After the ride, download the .FIT file from PROFIL in the game and upload it to Garmin Connect, Strava or intervals.icu: there the distance and elevation gain will be the same as in the game.
The game on my phone logged me out when I logged in on my computer
One account = one game session at a time. Logging in on a second device takes over the game and logs out the first one, with a countdown pop-up. This is on purpose: the stage result and your rides are always saved to one account. The League app on your phone and the website work in parallel without limits.

Logs and contact

How to write so the reply comes with a solution right away

Write to info@ligaride.pl with your system, whether it is Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android, plus the model of your trainer and heart rate monitor, the game version and what exactly happens. A screenshot of the CZUJNIKI screen says more than a description.

Phone: the CZUJNIKI screen has a WYŚLIJ LOG Z GRY button that sends the game log. Send it and tell us in your email what time you sent it.

Windows: game log %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Liga Triathlonu\Liga Ride\Player.log and sensors log %APPDATA%\Liga Ride\sensors.log.

Mac: game log ~/Library/Logs/Liga Triathlonu/Liga Ride/Player.log and sensors log ~/Library/Application Support/Liga Ride/sensors.log.

Liga Triathlonu account matters, such as login, password, data or deleting the account, are handled on ligatriathlonu.pl: the same account works on the website, in the League app and in the game.
