Course description
What's on the road
The course starts with the start arch and barriers below the Teutonic Knights' castle, then heads out onto national road 55 and runs straight across Żuławy to the turnaround. You come back the same way to the finish. The whole loop climbs only a few dozen metres, and the steepest section stays under two percent: this is a course for a steady, high pace and holding your position.
What counts is geometry and physics: the turnaround and every percent of climbing are where they are on the real course; the graphics, such as trees, buildings and the arch, don't always match the place one hundred percent.
- Start and finish by the castle, start arch and barriers along the course
- The DK55 straight with a turnaround: one loop = 1/8 IM distance
- Flat profile: a few dozen metres of climbing over 23.4 km, 2% at most
- Longer distances, that is 1/4, 1/2 and full, ride a separate long loop, “Malbork · Długa Pętla”, which is in preparation
